{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.1-020","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.1-020","heading":"Mission and goals of Commonwealth's economic development system.","body":"(1) The mission of the Commonwealth's economic development system shall be to\nachieve the best quality of life for all Kentuckians through long -term strategic\nplanning and implementation that fosters sustainable growth in jobs and incomes\nand enables communiti es, businesses, governments, and individuals to compete in\nthe global marketplace.\n(2) The goals for the Commonwealth's economic development system shall be as\nfollows:\n(a) By the year 1993, Kentucky will have an economic development partnership\nof governm ent, business, education, communities, and individuals that\nprovides a coordinated planning and implementation process which\nestablishes government priorities for action and accountability, supports rural\nand urban communities to invest in their own future s, assists businesses to\nacquire the resources to compete, and prepares individuals for work in high\nquality jobs; and\n(b) By the year 2000, Kentucky will have people and institutions with the capacity\nto adapt to future change; a skilled, competitive work force; thriving and\nhealthy communities throughout the state; and increased wealth and high\nquality jobs with greater opportunities to compete for them.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41626","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:51Z","sha256":"f9c44146f028b9d49d7fa5e8665dd1ec7e65bad97e62af374a3e6c34ef649475","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.1-010","next":"us-ky/krs-154.1-700"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
