{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.1-725","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.1-725","heading":"Duties of director.","body":"(1) It shall be the duty of the director to:\n(a) Serve as chief administrative officer to the corps and secretary to the board,\nand to provide whatever help and technical assistance as deemed necessary by\nthe board to the board.\n(b) Hire, as provided in the budget enacted by the Kentucky General Assembly\nand other state and federal laws applicable to state personnel, whatever\nemployees are deemed necessary by the board to carry out the provisions of\nKRS 154.1 -700 to 154.1 -745, provided the number of employees does not\nexceed twelve (12).\n(c) Prepare the b udget request for approval by the board in the form and manner\nrequired by applicable state law. For the purposes of KRS Chapter 48, the\nboard and the corps shall be considered a budget unit.\n(d) Develop a handbook for volunteers for submission to and appr oval of the\nboard prior to printing and distribution.\n(e) Develop a handbook for community/users for submission to and approval of\nthe board prior to printing and distribution.\n(f) Prepare program status reports on a monthly basis.\n(2) The director, on behalf of the corps, and with the permission of the board, may join\nor subscribe to any association or service having as its purpose the interchange of\ninformation relating to the improvement of the corps, or volunteer organizations.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41638","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:51Z","sha256":"bcf0d4af2cea5d14d9de2afac5e8658b057de2de033093e4f3701f36b73c5dae","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.1-720","next":"us-ky/krs-154.1-730"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
