{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-206","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-206","heading":"Duties of corporation.","body":"The corporation shall have all of the powers necessary or convenient to carry out and\neffectuate the purposes and provisions of this chapter, including, but not limited to the\nfollowing:\n(1) To adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct  of its business and\nto prescribe rules, regulations, and policies in connection with the performance of\nits function and duties;\n(2) To adopt an official seal;\n(3) To sue and be sued in its own name;\n(4) To make contracts and execute all instruments neces sary or convenient for the\nconduct of its business;\n(5) To make, execute, and effectuate all agreements with any federal or state agency or\nany person, corporation, association, partnership, or other organization or entity\nnecessary to accomplish the purposes of this chapter;\n(6) To procure sufficient insurance coverage against any losses in connection with its\nproperty;\n(7) To accept any and all donations, grants, bequests, and devices, conditional or\notherwise, of money, property, service, or other things  of value which may be\nreceived from the United States, or any agency thereof, any governmental agency,\nan institution, person, firm, or corporation, public and private, to be held, used, or\napplied solely for the purposes specified in KRS 154.12-204 to 154.12-208. Receipt\nof each donation or grant shall be detailed in the annual report of the corporation.\nSuch reports shall include the identity of the donor and the nature of the transaction;\n(8) To collect and disseminate to interested individuals, in coop eration with and\nthrough any agencies of federal, state, and municipal government, information\nconcerning areas of present and projected employment need, programs of skills\ntraining and education consistent therewith, and any other relevant information;\n(9) To provide grants -in-aid to educational institutions and approved companies to\nencourage and facilitate the formation of comprehensive cooperative relationships\nbetween the public and private sectors which secure for such institutions the\ninformation, te chnical assistance, and financial support necessary for the\ndevelopment and significant expansion of programs of skills training and education\nconsistent with employment need;\n(10) To prepare, publish, and distribute, with or without charge as the corporat ion may\ndetermine, such technical studies, reports, bulletins, and other materials as it deems\nappropriate; and\n(11) To organize, conduct, or sponsor special institutes, conferences, demonstrations,\nand studies to effectuate the purposes of KRS 154.12-204 to 154.12-208.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51538","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"36c9831ebe63619adc0594cdf8b5de646139d5341a201ff55f8c2328dc18187f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-205","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
