{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-224","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-224","heading":"Department for Financial Services.","body":"(1) There is created in the Cabinet for Economic Development the Department for\nFinancial Services. The department shall be headed by a commissioner appointed\nby the secretary pursuant to KRS 154.10 -050. The department shall coordinate\nadministration and monit oring of all financial assistance, tax credit, and related\nprograms available for business and industry and shall provide all budgeting,\naccounting, personnel services, and information technology necessary for proper\nadministration of the cabinet and cabinet programs.\n(2) The department shall include the following divisions, each of which shall be headed\nby a director appointed by the secretary pursuant to KRS 12.050:\n(a) The Finance and Personnel Division, which shall provide financial, personnel,\nfacility, and contract administration services;\n(b) The Compliance Division, which shall monitor incentives and collect and\nmaintain data on incentives after they are awarded;\n(c) The Program Administration Division, which shall coordinate necessary\ndocumentation and assist the Department for Business and Community\nDevelopment in preparing recommendations and finalizing documents for\npresentation to the authority or other body for consideration and approval; and\n(d) The IT and Resource Management Division, which sh all coordinate facility\nservices and internal information technology needs.\n(3) The department shall include the Kentucky Economic Development Finance\nAuthority.\n(4) The department shall include the Bluegrass State Skills Corporation established by\nKRS 154.12-205.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53835","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"da80fe594239ace68c1f0a73724c58ba820765340db608dbe8475e85aae9abae","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-223","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-225"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
