The office shall be headed by an executive\ndirector appointed by the secretary pursuant to KRS 154.10-050. The office shall be\nresponsible for various forms of entrepreneurship and innovation assistance,\nincluding but not limited to providing customer service and project management\nwith small and minority businesses, assisting export development, administering the\ninnovation assistance set forth in KRS 154.12 -278, introducing entrepreneurs to\nindividual investors and to investment cap ital firms interested in start -up and early-\nstage financing, and collecting, summarizing, and disseminating information\nhelpful to businesses, including information on market research, federal, state, and\nlocal minority business programs, government procur ement opportunities, and the\navailability of managerial assistance.\n(2) The office shall include the Commission on Small Business Innovation and\nAdvocacy established in KRS 11.200.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53837","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"c0a5c3f57194e2b1bc989c9f5ec447c4dd10c1760c183539e5ffaf13d65221e1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-276","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-278"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
