{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-305","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-305","heading":"Kentucky Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub Program.","body":"(1) There is established the Kentucky Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub Program\nwithin the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The goal of the program is to\ncreate products, ne w companies, and value -added jobs in communities throughout\nthe Commonwealth. Strategies to achieve this goal include:\n(a) Increasing quality deal flow of knowledge -based, technology -intensive\ncompanies in Kentucky;\n(b) Increasing understanding of start-up process and investment practices;\n(c) Providing value-added services to the start-up and investment community;\n(d) Supporting entrepreneur-led economic development; and\n(e) Attracting workforce talent, investors, and start-up companies to Kentucky.\n(2) The duties of the hubs shall include but not be limited to:\n(a) Identifying and linking entrepreneurs, faculty, subject -matter experts,\nscientists, venture capitalists, and other key individuals from the business\nsector, universities, community and technical  colleges, local leaders, and\ngovernment for the creation and expansion of knowledge -based, technology-\nintensive companies;\n(b) Establishing a uniform protocol for assembling and communicating project\nconcepts and opportunities;\n(c) Supporting high-quality projects through the concept and development phases\nincluding services such as market research, prototype development, business\nplan and strategies development, grant and contract capabilities, and capital\nand management resource identification; and\n(d) Identifying, in the area of technology development, potential partners,\nstrategic opportunities, training and educational needs, and issues that inhibit\nthe growth of technology sectors and business clusters in the state.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57629","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"f14508faf9925edd1906517f24a90395a8dae8bf1af5a10aee92b91ee644ea90","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-300","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
