{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-310","heading":"Kentucky Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub Program hubs --","body":"Organization powers and duties of executive director of Office of\nEntrepreneurship and Innovation.\n(1) The program hubs are private-public partnerships, operating as a cohesive statewide\ninfrastructure to support the implementation of key Kentucky Innovation Act\ninitiatives.\n(2) The organization of the hubs shall be a statewide network, with the location and\nservices provided for each hub determined by the executive director i n accordance\nwith the following:\n(a) The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation shall be the central\nheadquarters for the program hubs and has primary responsibility for the\nfollowing:\n1. Managing and administering the program;\n2. Establishing uniform p rogram application, protocol, and operating\nguidelines when appropriate;\n3. Supporting the protocol by creating and funding centralized services to\nbe distributed throughout the network; and\n4. Identifying those issues, opportunities, and challenges that h ave\nstatewide implications;\n(b) The hubs are responsible for fulfilling the duties as set forth in KRS 154.12 -\n305 relating to the implementation of the region's innovation strategic plan\nand supporting the implementation of the Kentucky Innovation Act init iatives\nin the region or subregion; and\n(c) The hubs are responsible for generating technology business development in\ntheir assigned geographic area, acting as a bridge between individuals and\ncompanies needing critical early state concept and development work and the\nhubs that can provide this support.\nThe hubs provide a valuable assurance for equal access to the Kentucky Innovation\nAct initiatives and funding, and provide an opportunity for full participation in rural\nand remote, as well as metropolitan, areas of the state.\n(3) The executive dire ctor shall have all the powers and authority, not explicitly\nprohibited by statute, necessary and convenient to carry out and effectuate the\npurposes of KRS 154.12-300 to 154.12-310.\n(4) The executive director may, in effectuating the provisions of KRS 154 .12-300 to\n154.12-310, contract with a science and technology organization as defined in KRS\n164.6011 to administer and manage the program.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57630","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"92fcf4042aa433e74b106dfff4a63f9aea271fd48af49b674f75a1e22e04c58d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-305","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-315"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
