{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-342","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-342","heading":"Definitions for KRS 154.12-342 to 154.12-348.","body":"As used in KRS 154.12-342 to 154.12-348:\n(1) \"Authority\" means the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority;\n(2) \"Cabinet\" means the Cabinet for Economic Development;\n(3) \"Eligible grant applicant\" means a county or city governing body, or entity\norganized under Kentucky law providing public services or a nonprofit charitable\norganization organized under 26 U.S.C. sec. 501(c)(3) or (6) engaged in economic\ndevelopment, workforce investment, talent development, or community\ndevelopment;\n(4) \"Eligible p roject\" means a talent investment initiative established by an eligible\ngrant applicant and approved by the authority, which may include one (1) or more\nof the following:\n(a) A plan to relocate employees or households from outside Kentucky;\n(b) A plan to retain Kentucky students; or\n(c) A targeted marketing campaign to engage potential new residents;\n(5) \"Fund\" means the Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program fund established in\nKRS 154.12-348;\n(6) \"Household goal\" means the total number of households th at a talent recruitment\nprogram seeks to incentivize for relocating or committing to relocate from outside\nKentucky to a Kentucky locality;\n(7) \"Program\" means the Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program;\n(8) \"Regional project\" means an eligible project that is proposed by eligible grant\napplicants residing or having a primary business address in different counties in this\nCommonwealth; and\n(9) \"Retention goal\" means the total number of Kentucky students an eligible project\nseeks to retain.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57529","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"cebb2fb7cf129f34435d92c5d356f7f97dfac713dad060b47b85a4d82c883a59","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-340","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-344"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
