{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.12-344","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.12-344","heading":"Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program is hereby established under the\ncabinet. The cabinet's administration of the program includes but is not limited to\nthe following:\n(a) Creating and making available a grant application for eligible grant applic ants\nto apply for program grant funds;\n(b) Reviewing and processing applications submitted to the cabinet by eligible\ngrant applicants; and\n(c) Submitting grant applications to the authority for approval.\n(2) The maximum amount of funding for each eligible  grant applicant is five hundred\nthousand dollars ($500,000).\n(3) If a grant application is approved by the authority as an eligible project under KRS\n154.12-342(4)(a) or (b), the cabinet shall disburse fifty percent (50%) of the total\ngrant award to the e ligible grant applicant upon execution of the grant agreement.\nThe remaining fifty percent (50%) of the grant award shall be disbursed upon the\neligible grant applicant demonstrating to the authority, subject to its approval, that\nfifty percent (50%) of th e household goal or the retention goal has been met based\non the reported metrics set forth in KRS 154.12-346(4)(a).\n(4) The cabinet shall determine the terms, conditions, and requirements of grant awards\nfrom the fund. The cabinet may establish procedures  and standards for the review\nand approval of the obligation of grant funds through the administrative regulations\npromulgated in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A.\n(5) The secretary of the cabinet shall have the authority to hire staff, contract for\nservices, expend funds, and operate the normal business activities of the program.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57530","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:52Z","sha256":"c6b52db343d5b144edf6efb71b4a7e21599e9d250a2bcc056c1b62a433391d47","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.12-342","next":"us-ky/krs-154.12-346"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
