{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.15-030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.15-030","heading":"Board of the Kentucky Communications Network Authority --","body":"Membership -- Duties -- Meetings -- Committees.\n(1) The Board of the Kentucky Communications Network Authority is established. The\nboard shall be attached administratively to the Finance and Administration Cabinet.\n(2) The board shall consist of:\n(a) The chief information officer of the Department of Education or designee,\nwho shall serve as chair of the board;\n(b) Two (2) members designated by the Governor as follows:\n1. One (1) member selected from a list of three (3) nominees submitted by\nthe Kentucky League of Cities; and\n2. One (1) member selected from a list of three (3) nominees submitted by\nthe Kentucky Association of Counties;\n(c) The Commissioner of Agriculture or designee;\n(d) The Secretary of State or designee;\n(e) The Treasurer or designee; and\n(f) A representative designated by the Center for Rural Development.\n(3) The duties of the board shall be to:\n(a) Develop and implement a strategic plan for and provide policy direction to the\nauthority;\n(b) Review performance reports from the partners named in the master agreement\nregarding deployment, operations, and administration of the network and its\ncompliance with service level agreements with the Commonwealth;\n(c) Monitor the results achieved through the partnership's strategy to develop new\nrevenue streams and expand network usage through marketing and awareness\nprograms;\n(d) Approve fiscal planning for the a uthority including budget development, state\nappropriations management, cost -recovery schedules, grant administration,\nand billing services;\n(e) Establish rates for services offered through the network and establish methods\nfor customer account management; and\n(f) Direct upgrades to technology as necessary.\n(4) The board shall meet at least semiannually and at other times upon the call of the\nchair.\n(5) The board may form committees or other subgroups as necessary to accomplish its\nduties and functions.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56750","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:53Z","sha256":"eee7219819ad414ed48949afb11698ddb478a1a24327d4dc6b0058bf50d8dbf8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.15-020","next":"us-ky/krs-154.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
