{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.33-550","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.33-550","heading":"Kentucky Appalachian regional development fund.","body":"(1) There is created and established a fund to be known as the Kentucky Appalachian\nregional development fund to be administered by the Department for Local\nGovernment.\n(2) The Kentucky Appalachian regional development fund shall be comprised of state\nappropriations, repayment of loans and interest made from the funds, and interest\nearnings generated for the fund.\n(3) The purpose of this fund is to provide a source from which the Department for\nLocal Government may make loans, grants, and investments in accorda nce with the\npurposes and procedures established in KRS 154.33 -552 and 154.33 -554, at such\ninterest rates and for such terms as may be determined by the commissioner or his\nor her designee, with security for repayment as deemed necessary and reasonable.\n(4) The proceeds of any loan, grant, or investment shall be used solely for the purposes\nidentified in KRS 154.33 -552 and as may be further provided in the agreement;\nhowever, no moneys from this fund shall be used to carry on propaganda or\notherwise used to influence legislation.\n(5) Any unallotted or unencumbered balances in the fund shall be invested pursuant to\nKRS 42.500. Interest earned from the investment of these funds shall accrue to the\nKentucky Appalachian regional development fund.\n(6) The balance  in the Kentucky Appalachian regional development fund shall be\ntreated as a continuing appropriation and shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44442","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:56Z","sha256":"2eeb8dba0464ac4e069fa66745c074052e62e90abc2437f4754dfd439f371b6d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.33-545","next":"us-ky/krs-154.33-552"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
