{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.47-005","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.47-005","heading":"Definitions for subchapter.","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n(1) \"Center\" means the Quicksand Wood Utilization Center located in Breathitt\nCounty, Kentucky;\n(2) \"Certified tree farmer\" means a person whose tree farm is certified by the Kentu cky\nTree Farm Committee and approved by the American Forest Foundation;\n(3) \"Forest steward\" means a person whose forest property is certified as a stewardship\nforest and approved by the Division of Forestry of the Department for Natural\nResources;\n(4) \"Procurement area\" means an area specified by the applicant in a radius of miles\nfrom the applicant's site of operations from which the applicant acquires raw wood\nproducts;\n(5) \"Secondary wood products industry\" means businesses that compose that segment\nof the forest products industry that manufacture, assemble, process, or produce\nwood into a finished or semifinished product; however, the \"secondary wood\nproducts industry\" does not include primary wood products operations such as\nlogging, sawmilling, chip m illing, veneer milling, or pulp milling. Businesses that\ninclude both primary and secondary wood products operations are deemed to be\nwithin the secondary wood products industry only in regard to their secondary\nwood products operations; and\n(6) \"Wood indu stry hub\" or \"hub\" means a system in which the technical and\nworkforce training needs of the secondary wood products industry are integrated.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53852","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:57Z","sha256":"22e1ce4a8fde442ce3d5ce9ab27c4e0b57d73e33a9c3c0584bd3acdc54605961","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.45-120","next":"us-ky/krs-154.47-010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
