{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.47-060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.47-060","heading":"Quicksand Wood Utilization Center as hub for industry expansion --","body":"Demonstration projects.\n(1) The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture may operate the Quicksand\nWood Utilization Center, which is located in Breathitt County at the Quicks and\nSubstation of the College of Agriculture of the University of Kentucky, as a hub for\nthe expansion of the secondary wood products industry. The center shall, if utilized\nas a secondary wood products training center, develop and further workforce\ntraining, management skills, technology transfer, and collaborative design and\nproduct development mechanisms and processes associated with the secondary\nwood products industry.\n(2) The Quicksand Wood Utilization Center shall serve as a model for the development\nof additional hubs in other parts of the state.\n(3) The cabinet, utilizing facilities of the Quicksand Wood Utilization Center, may\nconduct demonstration projects at the center, and may provide assistance to rural\ndevelopment organizations by producing bu ilding materials, furniture, and other\nwood products for display and sale at area showrooms and for use by rural\ndevelopment organizations in carrying out approved demonstration projects.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=42114","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:57Z","sha256":"4df8ae4317de07356472fd2b291b051b1d985939ae8c6370fed8a13c0d0c6bfc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.47-055","next":"us-ky/krs-154.47-065"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
