{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154.90-010","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154.90-010","heading":"Northern Kentucky Convention Center Corporation -- Board.","body":"(1) The Northern Kentucky Convention Center Corporation is hereby established to\ndevelop and manage the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. The corporation\nshall be attached to the  Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet for administrative\npurposes. The corporation shall be directed by a board consisting of eleven (11)\nmembers appointed as follows:\n(a) The county judges/executive of Kenton, Campbell, and Boone Counties, with\nthe approval  of their respective fiscal courts, shall each appoint two (2)\nmembers to the board;\n(b) The mayor of the city within which the convention center is located shall\nappoint one (1) member, with the approval of the city commission;\n(c) The Governor shall appoint four (4) members;\n(d) One (1) of the initial appointees of the Governor shall have a one (1) year\nterm, one (1) shall have a two (2) year term, and one (1) shall have a three (3)\nyear term. All other appointments, and all subsequent appointments by the\nGovernor, shall be for four (4) year terms; and\n(e) Members may be removed by the appointing authority only for cause and\nafter being afforded notice, a hearing, and a finding of fact by the appointing\nauthority. A copy of charges, transcript of the recor d of the hearings, and\nfindings of fact shall be filed with the Secretary of State.\n(2) The Northern Kentucky Convention Center Corporation shall be a body corporate\nwith full corporate powers. A quorum of the corporation shall consist of four (4)\nmembers, with a majority of members present authorized to act upon any matter\nlegally before the corporation. Minutes and records shall be kept of all meetings of\nthe corporation and all official actions shall be recorded.\n(3) The corporation may enact bylaws conc erning the election of officers and other\nadministrative procedures it deems necessary.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56379","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:58Z","sha256":"488d60933651c8ffe3cbfe32e10c4632f06da29271891f8840109f437429918c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154.90-005","next":"us-ky/krs-154.90-015"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
