{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154a.140","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154A.140","heading":"Acceptance and expenditure of moneys by corporation -- Corporation to","body":"be self sustaining and self funded.\n(1) The corporation is hereby authorized to accept and expend such moneys as may be\nappropriated by the General Assembly or such moneys as may be received from any\nsource, including income from the corporation's operations, for effectuating its\ncorporate purposes including, without limitation, the payment of the initial expenses\nof administration and operation of the corporation and the lottery.\n(2) After the transfer of any appropriated funds provided by subsection (1) of this\nsection, the corporation shall be self sustaining and self funded and moneys in the\nstate general fund shall not be used or obligated to pay the expenses of the\ncorporation or prizes of the lottery and no claim for the payment of an expense of\nthe lottery or prizes of the lottery shall be made against any moneys other than\nmoneys credited to the corporate operating account established by KRS 154A.130.","path":["KRS Chapter 154A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3022","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:58Z","sha256":"313d4e74bd5a9d776b2f4802ba853b3a6ad84fc1145ad761642870b6ee491945","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154a.130","next":"us-ky/krs-154a.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
