{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-154a.650","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 154A.650","heading":"Criminal background investigations -- Duties of corporation or its","body":"security division.\n(1) The Department of Kentucky State Police shall, at the request of the division of\nsecurity, perform full criminal background investigations on all potential vend ors\nand potential employees of the corporation at the level of division director and\nabove and at any level within the division of security. The corporation shall\nreimburse the Department of Kentucky State Police for the actual costs of such\ninvestigations.\n(2) The corporation or its division of security shall:\n(a) Conduct criminal background investigations and credit investigations on all\npotential retailers and investigate all potential employees of the corporation\nnot referred to in subsection (1) of this section;\n(b) Supervise ticket validation and lottery drawings;\n(c) Inspect at times determined solely by the division, the facilities of any vendor\nin order to determine the integrity of the vendor's product and in order to\ndetermine whether the vendor is in compliance with its contract;\n(d) Report any suspected violations of this chapter to the appropriate\nCommonwealth's attorney, or the Attorney General and law enforcement\nagencies; and\n(e) Upon request, provide assistance to any Commonwealth's attorney , the\nAttorney General or law enforcement agency investigating a violation of this\nchapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 154A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3032","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:58Z","sha256":"5642d35f8a065c57fccfcdb7d09d2283d88855d4eef2eb09e21cd3b03303a818","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-154a.600","next":"us-ky/krs-154a.990"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
