{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-156.060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 156.060","heading":"Quorum -- Meetings -- Location of office -- Compensation.","body":"For meetings of the Kentucky Board of Education, a majority of the voting members shall\nconstitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The board shall meet not less than\nevery three (3) months and at other times it may be called as provided in this s ection.\nSpecial meetings of the board may be called by the chairperson, and upon written request\nof two (2) members, the chairperson shall call a special meeting of the board to be held\nnot later than twenty (20) days following receipt of the written reque st. The chairperson\nshall give notice through the secretary by registered or certified mail, return receipt\nrequested, to each member of the board at least ten (10) days prior to the time of any\nmeeting unless all members of the board waive notice in writi ng. The offices of the board\nshall be at the seat of government in the Department of Education and shall be provided\nby the state. Members of the board may receive a per diem of one hundred dollars ($100)\nfor each regular or special meeting attended and ac tual expenses for attending meetings,\nand may be reimbursed for other actual and necessary expenditures incurred in the\nperformance of their duties authorized by the board.
