{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-156.097","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 156.097","heading":"Teacher institutes -- Regulation.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Board of Education shall develop regulations to establish a program\nof educational institutes for teachers. The purpose of such institutes shall be the\ngeneral improvement of instruction within the Commonwealth.\n(2) Teacher institutes shall be  held during the summer months at various college\ncampuses selected by the Kentucky Board of Education. Each institute shall be of\none (1) week duration.\n(3) The Kentucky Board of Education shall develop specific criteria relating to the\nselection of eligi ble teachers for institute participation, with an emphasis on\nselecting teachers with a demonstrated record of effective teaching.\n(4) Any teacher selected and agreeing to participate in a particular teacher institute\nsession shall be reimbursed for expens es incurred in attendance, and shall be\nawarded a stipend in an amount to be determined by the Kentucky Board of\nEducation.\n(5) The program shall encourage business and industry within the Commonwealth to\nbecome institute sponsors for teachers within the r espective communities of such\nbusiness and industry.","path":["KRS Chapter 156"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3117","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:59Z","sha256":"6550d3778616631f9327720428b0aa3b74b5ba0b7f7abc1ac0d31a2a5e2def2c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-156.0951","next":"us-ky/krs-156.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
