{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-156.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 156.400","heading":"School subjects review and selection groups -- Instructional materials","body":"purchasing.\n(1) The chief state school officer shall arrange the elementary, middle, and high school\nsubjects of reading and writing, mathematics, science, and social st udies into\ninstructional materials review and selection groups aligned with the process and\nschedule for reviewing Kentucky's academic standards and assessments established\nunder KRS 158.6453. Subjects by grade or by grade band with rapidly changing or\nhighly technical content may be considered more frequently than once during a six\n(6) year cycle.\n(2) The chief state school officer may delay the purchase of instructional materials due\nto insufficient funds, but any purchases of instructional materials by a  school\ndistrict or the department shall be in accordance with this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 156"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56670","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:00Z","sha256":"88628f023fa7f3934c439ae74350493d0ab7e4af7243103a685e77f825f08a59","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-156.395","next":"us-ky/krs-156.405"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
