{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-156.433","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 156.433","heading":"Instructional materials eligible for purchase with state instructional","body":"materials funds -- Administrative regulation -- Review procedure -- Purchases\nby state and distributions to school districts without cost.\n(1) The Kentucky Board of Educ ation, upon recommendation of the chief state school\nofficer, shall promulgate an administrative regulation identifying instructional\nmaterials eligible for purchase with state instructional materials funds. The\nregulation shall identify instructional mate rials which are subject to review before\nbeing recommended for use, establish a procedure for the review, and a process for\nadding an instructional material to the state-approved list.\n(2) The department shall report the state -approved list of instructiona l materials for the\nuse of school personnel as selected by the task force.\n(3) The chief state school officer, subject to the approval of the Kentucky Board of\nEducation, may purchase instructional materials from the publishers or developers\nwhose instruct ional materials have been adopted by a school district for grades\nkindergarten through twelve (12) and distribute them without cost to the pupils\nattending the public schools in the school district.\n(4) Allocations and purchases using state instructional m aterials funds shall be\nconducted in accordance with KRS 156.395 to 156.476.","path":["KRS Chapter 156"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56675","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:00Z","sha256":"110d91bbbc27c9434ef18a83fc968d893a4b8077f3d72570093e454bb8360b01","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-156.430","next":"us-ky/krs-156.435"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
