{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-156.848","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 156.848","heading":"Agreements  for training workers.","body":"(1) The executive director of the Office of Adult Education within the Department of\nWorkforce  Development  in the Education and  Labor Cabinet and  the\ncommissioner of education may enter into agreements to train workers for new\nmanufacturing jobs in new or expanding industries characterized by one (1) or\nmore  of the following criteria: a high average skill, a high average wage, rapid\nnational growth, or jobs feasible and desirable for location in rural regions.\nSuch agreements shall not be subject to the requirements of KRS  45A.045 and\nKRS  45A.690 to 45A.725 when awarded on the basis of a detailed training plan\napproved by the appropriate agency head. Reimbursement to the industry shall\nbe made upon submission of documents validating actual training expenditure\nnot to exceed the amount approved by the training plan.\n(2) The  executive director and the commissioner of education may  approve\nauthorization for his or her agency to enter into agreements with industries\nwhereby the industry may be reimbursed directly for the following services:\n(a) The cost of instructors' salaries when the instructor is an employee of the\nindustry to be served;\n(b) Cost of only those supplies, materials, and equipment used exclusively in\nthe training program; and\n(c) Cost of leasing a training facility should a vocational education school or\nthe industrial plant not be available.","path":["KRS Chapter 156"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52376","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:01Z","sha256":"41603fde44cb1a0a4d84688bfc4e6f34be56256a82aa5e4cd508f1b942f76120","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-156.846","next":"us-ky/krs-156.850"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
