{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-157.630","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 157.630","heading":"Sale of bonds -- Publication area.","body":"Bonds of the commission shall be sold in such form and in such manner as the\ncommission deems appropriate in accordance with prevailing market conditions. If the\nbonds are sold on the basis of sealed bids or proposals, the \"publication area,\" as that\nterm is used in KRS Chapter 424, shall not be deemed to be the area within which the\noffice of the commission is situated, but shall be deemed to be the \"publication area\" of\nthe board of education executing the lease. If the bonds are sold on the basis of seal ed\nbids or proposals, the sale shall be publicly advertised by means of a notice conforming\nto the provisions of KRS 424.140, and the same shall be published at least one (1) time,\nat least seven (7) days in advance of the date set forth for opening bids, in a daily\nnewspaper having bona fide general circulation throughout the Commonwealth. If such\npublication is made, it shall be sufficient for publication in the \"publication area\" to be\nmade only one (1) time, at least seven (7) days in advance of the dat e set forth for the\nopening of bids. If a copy of the sale notice be delivered or transmitted in good faith to\nthe qualified newspaper of the \"publication area\" in time for publication in an issue\nthereof published seven (7) days or more in advance of the date set forth for the opening\nof bids, and with direction for publication therein, any failure of such newspaper to make\npublication as directed shall not invalidate the sale of the bonds by the commission on the\ndesignated date, nor require postponement or cancellation thereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 157"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3357","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:02Z","sha256":"754c740622704b434b102f8727e61341d96c5a79734ff61fa301367b1206f167","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-157.628","next":"us-ky/krs-157.632"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
