{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-157.632","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 157.632","heading":"Department to require audit.","body":"It shall be the duty of the department, upon written request of the commission:\n(1) To cause the certified public accountant auditing the district to audit the financial\nrecords relating to any identified and described bond issue of the commission, as an\nincident to the certified public accountant's next ensuing annual audit of such board\nof education, and each subsequent annual audit; and to provide a statement or report\nto the commission.\n(2) Upon receiving a notification and request from the commission to ascertain whether\nthe lease of the board of education has been renewed and is in force in accordance\nwith its terms, and if the same is ascertained to be in force; to withhold from the\nboard of education a sufficient portion of any undisbursed funds then  held or set\naside or allocated by the department for the board of education, and to comply with\nthe terms of the notification and request of the commission for the account of said\nboard of education.","path":["KRS Chapter 157"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3358","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:02Z","sha256":"c9819ca88dc87b6ad070cc9f2c0784538335060f46b43370f4f90566b7fb2059","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-157.630","next":"us-ky/krs-157.635"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
