{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-157.910","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 157.910","heading":"Kentucky Environmental Education Council.","body":"(1) There is hereby established the Kentucky Environmental Education Council,\nreferred to hereafter as the council, to provide leadership and planning for\nenvironmental education for the population of Kentucky  through the\ncooperative efforts of educators, government agencies, businesses, and public\ninterests. The council shall be an independent agency and be attached to the\nEducation and Labor Cabinet for administrative purposes.\n(2) The nine (9) member  council shall be appointed to four (4) year terms by the\nGovernor and be composed  of a balance of education, government, industry,\nand environmental interests. Members  appointed by the Governor shall have\nthe authority to carry out the provisions of KRS 157.900 to 157.915.\n(3) The  council shall hire an  executive director, environmental education\nspecialists, and clerical staff to carry out the functions and duties of the council.\n(4) The council members  shall receive no compensation, but shall be reimbursed\nfor actual expenses incurred in accordance with state procedures and policies.\n(5) The council membership shall elect a chairperson to serve a one (1) year term.","path":["KRS Chapter 157"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52377","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:03Z","sha256":"e4ed53ab4f8699e84cdd2f8e7819963b4467f565350d30f95b42f7f32a7f33bd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-157.905","next":"us-ky/krs-157.915"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
