{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-158.158","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 158.158","heading":"Local board of education to require each public school with instructional","body":"space for students in grades six through twelve to display information on\nsexual extortion -- Requirements -- Applicability to public charter schools --\nDepartment to publish recommendations for required information.\n(1) By August 1, 2025, local boards shall require each public school with instructional\nspaces for students in grades six (6) through twelve (12) to display, in a prominent\nlocation in each school building, a legible printed sign in English and Spanish at\nleast eight and one-half (8.5) inches by eleven (11) inches in size that shall contain:\n(a) An age -appropriate description of sexual extortion consistent with the\ndefinition in KRS 531.125.\n(b) Contact infor mation for state or local law enforcement for reporting or\nseeking assistance relating to sexual extortion;\n(c) Contact information for federal law enforcement for reporting or seeking\nassistance relating to sexual extortion;\n(d) Contact information for a national suicide prevention hotline; and\n(e) The Uniform Resource Locator (URL), a Quick Response (QR) code, or\nsimilar resource to identify the website address for informational and support\nresources regarding sexual extortion provided by the National Cen ter for\nMissing and Exploited Children or any federally funded successor entity.\n(2) The requirements of subsection (1) of this section shall apply to public charter\nschools as a health and safety requirement under KRS 160.1592(1).\n(3) By July 15, 2025, th e department shall publish recommendations for information to\nbe included consistent with subsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56092","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:04Z","sha256":"45be3cf7e934f86cb01293e277f48d50f4b1c1d1cb945dce510913362bdd7ed7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.157","next":"us-ky/krs-158.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
