Most likely these would\nbe students already participating in JROTC, drum corps, or other military programs;\nhowever, the Military Burial Honor Guard Program is not limited to these students.\nThis excused absence should include time spent training, traveling, and\nparticipating in the Military Burial Honor Guard Program.\n(2) The local school board may also adopt a policy to allow students to p articipate in\nthe Military Burial Honor Guard Program as a part of the instructional program.\n(3) This policy of either excused absences or including Military Burial Honor Guard\nProgram participation as a part of the instructional program shall not in any way\npenalize the local school district.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3491","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:04Z","sha256":"69d34ccb1e3e11b454e60950e6815f93b459b9f959101669c4881e385df56829","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.292","next":"us-ky/krs-158.294"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
