{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-158.297","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 158.297","heading":"Meningococcal meningitis disease and vaccine information.","body":"(1) If, at the beginning of a school year, a board of education for a local school district\nprovides information on immunizations, infectious disease, medications, or other\nschool health issues to parents and guardians of students in grades six (6) through\ntwelve (12), then the following information about meningococcal meningitis disease\nand its vaccine shall be included:\n(a) A description of causes, symptoms, and means of transmission;\n(b) A list of sources for additional information; and\n(c) Related recommendations issued by the National Centers for Disease Control\nand Prevention.\n(2) The Department of Education, in cooperation with the Department for Public\nHealth, shall develop and make available the information about meningococcal\nmeningitis disease and its  vaccine to local school districts as required under\nsubsection (1) of this section in an efficient manner that shall include posting the\ninformation on its Web site.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3494","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:04Z","sha256":"674d434d4a3825f481b6b428200836e0e42c044cd287480588174c152fa18b22","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.295","next":"us-ky/krs-158.299"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
