{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-158.360","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 158.360","heading":"Family literacy services.","body":"(1) The Office of Adult Education shall provide technical assistance to providers to develop family literacy services. The technical assistance shall be evaluated on a regular basis by contracted evaluators outside the program.\n(2) The services shall:\n(a) Provide parents with instruction in basic academic skills, life skills which include parenting skills, and employability skills;\n(b) Provide the children with developmentally appropriate educational activities;\n(c) Provide planned high -quality educational expe riences requiring interaction between parents and their children;\n(d) Be of sufficient intensity and duration to help move families to self - sufficiency and break the cycle of under education and poverty; and\n(e) Be designed to reduce duplication with other  educational providers to ensure high quality and efficient services.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=49098","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:05Z","sha256":"e36b7680332892168fe4bcbc08a42f11bd37142d10ca3ee7c60a92b025b89271","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.355","next":"us-ky/krs-158.380"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
