{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-158.4418","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 158.4418","heading":"Annual report on trauma -informed approach plans and school -based","body":"mental health services -- Model interagency agreements.\n(1) The Kentucky Department of Education shall annually provide to the Kentucky\nBoard of Education and the Legislative R esearch Commission for referral to the\nInterim Joint Committee on Education a summary of the data gathered pursuant to\nsubsection (2)(a) to (c) of this section.\n(2) The department shall:\n(a) Collect the plans for a trauma -informed approach required by KRS\n158.4416(5);\n(b) Compile information from the 2020-2021 school year and each year thereafter\nregarding Medicaid billing for school -based mental health services provided\nby school-based or contracted mental health services providers;\n(c) Compile and monitor  the number and types of mental health services\nproviders who are providing services in schools and the progress being made\ntoward reaching the goal specified in KRS 158.4416(3)(a); and\n(d) Coordinate technical assistance, professional development, and evi dence-\nbased training of school staff on childhood trauma-related experiences.\n(3) The department shall collaborate with the Center for School Safety to develop\nmodel interagency agreements between local school districts and other local public\nagencies, inc luding but not limited to health departments, departments of social\nservices, mental health agencies, and courts, in order to provide cooperative\nservices and sharing of costs for services to students who are at risk of academic\nfailure, at risk of mental health crises, at risk of participation in juvenile crime, or\nwho have been expelled from the school district.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55386","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:05Z","sha256":"f968ad6dac2a08f4c8b80f89985eb7e13598d68025480e617510cb2b3d91e702","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.4416","next":"us-ky/krs-158.442"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
