{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-158.6459","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 158.6459","heading":"Intervention strategies for accelerated learning -- Individualized learning","body":"plan -- Support and technical assistance.\n(1) A high school student whose highest score on the college admissions examination\nunder KRS 158.6453(5)(b)3. in English, reading, or mathematics is below the\nsystemwide standard established by the Council on Postsecondary Education for\nentry into a credit -bearing course at a public postsecondary institution without\nplacement in a remedial course or an entry -level course with  supplementary\nacademic support shall be provided the opportunity to participate in accelerated\nlearning designed to address his or her identified academic deficiencies prior to\nhigh school graduation.\n(2) A high school, in collaboration with its school district, shall develop and implement\naccelerated learning that:\n(a) Allows a student's learning plan to be individualized to meet the student's\nacademic needs based on an assessment of test results and consultation among\nparents, teachers, and the student; and\n(b) May include changes in a student's class schedule.\n(3) The Kentucky Department of Education, the Council on Postsecondary Education,\nand public postsecondary institutions shall offer support and technical assistance to\nschools and school districts in the development of accelerated learning.","path":["KRS Chapter 158"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57839","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:06Z","sha256":"6cdbb0cf4e8da85288ef6070b6c9ec3eb9f99070b84ba3ee81593c085064834b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-158.6458","next":"us-ky/krs-158.646"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
