{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-15a.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 15A.030","heading":"Additional organizational units in cabinet.","body":"(1) The  Justice and  Public Safety Cabinet, in addition to the departments,\ndivisions, offices, and branches set forth in KRS  15A.020, shall consist of the\nfollowing organizational units:\n(a) Kentucky State Corrections Commission, supported by the Department of\nCorrections;\n(b) Criminal Justice Council, supported by the Office of Legislative and\nIntergovernmental Services; and\n(c) Kentucky Parole Board, supported by the cabinet.\n(2) Except for the Kentucky Parole Board, which shall be attached to the cabinet\nfor administrative and support services only, each agency specified in this\nsection shall:\n(a) Perform its duties as specified by law;\n(b) Except as otherwise provided by law, be under the general direction and\ncontrol of the secretary;\n(c) Perform such other duties as may be assigned to the secretary; and\n(d) Report to the secretary.","path":["KRS Chapter 15A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45821","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:35Z","sha256":"6393bf57b7fa2c0ef224edb8c985e05a68e9374c33f13d99ed4e14936c02bd1b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-15a.020","next":"us-ky/krs-15a.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
