{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-16.645","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 16.645","heading":"Matters not specified in KRS  16.510 to 16.652.","body":"The  following subjects shall be administered in the same  manner subject to the\nsame  limitations and  requirements as provided for the Kentucky Employees\nRetirement System as follows:\n(1) Cessation of membership, as provided for by KRS 61.535;\n(2) Medical examiners and hearing procedures, as provided for by KRS 61.665;\n(3) Actuarial bases, as provided for by KRS 61.670;\n(4) Duties of the employer, as provided for by KRS 61.675;\n(5) Exemption  of benefits of the system for taxation and qualified domestic\nrelations orders, as provided for by KRS 61.690;\n(6) Retirement allowance increase, as provided for by KRS 61.691;\n(7) Calculation of retirement allowance, as provided for by KRS 61.599;\n(8) Beneficiaries to be designated by member, change, rights, as provided for by\nKRS  61.542;\n(9) Year of service credit, as provided for by KRS 61.545;\n(10) Refund of contributions, death after retirement, as provided by KRS 61.630;\n(11) Custodian of fund, payments made, when, as provided for by KRS 61.660;\n(12) Credit for service prior to membership date, as provided for by KRS 61.526;\n(13) Member's account, confidential, as provided for by KRS 61.661;\n(14) Cessation of membership, loss of benefits, as provided for by KRS 61.550;\n(15) Correction of errors in records, as provided for by KRS 61.685;\n(16) Maximum  disability benefit, as provided for by KRS 61.607;\n(17) Retirement application procedure, effective retirement date, as provided for by\nKRS  61.590;\n(18) Employer contributions, as provided for by KRS 61.565;\n(19) Reinstatement of lost service credit, purchase of service credit, service for\nArmed  Forces, interest paid, and  delayed contribution and  installment\npayments, as provided for by KRS 61.552;\n(20) Reciprocal arrangement between systems, as provided by KRS 61.680;\n(21) Refund of contributions, conditions, as provided by KRS 61.625;\n(22) Hospital and medical insurance plan, as provided by KRS 61.702;\n(23) Death benefit, as provided by KRS 61.705;\n(24) Disability retirement allowance, reduction, and discontinuance, as provided by\nKRS  61.615;\n(25) Reinstated employee, contributions on creditable compensation, as provided\nfor by KRS 61.569;\n(26) Statement to be made under oath, good faith reliance, as provided for in KRS\n61.699;\n(27) Retirement of persons in hazardous positions, as provided for by KRS 61.592;\n(28) Direct deposit of recipient's retirement allowance as provided in KRS 61.623;\n(29) Payment  of small amounts upon death of member, retiree, or recipient without\nformal administration of the estate as provided in KRS 61.703;\n(30) Suspension  of  retirement payments  on  reemployment,  reinstatement,\nrecomputation of allowance, waiver of provisions in certain instances,\nreemployment in a different position, as provided for by KRS 61.637;\n(31) Medical examination and  financial review after disability retirement, staff\nreview, as provided in KRS 61.610; and\n(32) Employer payment of increases in creditable compensation and adjustments to\ncreditable compensation during the last five (5) years of employment  as\nprovided by KRS 61.598.","path":["KRS Chapter 16"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50806","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:37Z","sha256":"087a4a79d077e5372e39d99947dec9dd93a117f879091eeb0e8f1139e0ab709d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-16.642","next":"us-ky/krs-16.647"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
