{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-160.155","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 160.155","heading":"Definitions for KRS 160.157.","body":"As used in KRS 160.157, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Board\" means the board of education of a local school district;\n(2) \"Community school\" means a school that makes its facilities available for citizen\nuse, coordinates activities of local c itizens in identifying program needs and\nestablishing priorities, identifies and utilizes available program resources, and\nassists in the initiation of programs to improve the cultural, social, recreational, and\neducational opportunities available in a community;\n(3) \"Community education program\" means a program in which a public building,\nincluding a public elementary or secondary school, is used as a community center\noperated by a local education agency in cooperation with other groups in the\ncommunity, community organizations, and local governmental agencies to provide\neducational, recreational, cultural, health care, and other related community services\nin accordance with the needs, interests, and concerns of the community; and\n(4) \"Community education director\" means an employee of a local school district who\nis responsible for a countywide program of community education in a school district\nor school districts.","path":["KRS Chapter 160"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=3683","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:07Z","sha256":"b14566befb5cca64efe3737060ac6e475700e84046eb5a9b30dd09dae8b1769a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-160.153","next":"us-ky/krs-160.156"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
