{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-160.156","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 160.156","heading":"State plan for community education -- Grant program.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Board of Education shall develop a state plan for community\neducation which sets forth the goals and objectives of the program and establishes a\nsystem of priorities for targeting available resources on the areas with the greatest\nneed.\n(2) The Kentucky Department of Education shall administer a grant program pursuant\nto KRS 160.155 and 160.157 to provide money to local school districts to employ\none (1) full -time community education director to plan and manage programs and\nservices for community education that are targeted to the greatest educational needs\nin the community and to encourage cooperation among all local school districts in a\ncounty. Funds shall also be used to provide professional development training to all\nstate-funded community education directors.\n(3) Funds appropriated for this purpose shall be distributed by the Kentucky\nDepartment of Education through a grant process.
