{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-160.280","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 160.280","heading":"Per diem and expenses for board members -- Eligibility for insurance","body":"plans.\n(1) Members of boards of education shall receive no salaries, but members of boards of\neducation may receive, for each day a regular or special meeting is attended, a p er\ndiem of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) and their actual expenses. Members shall\nreceive this same per diem for training required by KRS 160.180. In no case shall\nthe expenses incurred within the district or per diem of any member exceed six\nthousand dollars ($6,000) in any calendar year.\n(2) Members of boards of education may be reimbursed for actual and necessary\nexpenditures incurred outside the district in the performance of their duties\nauthorized by the board.\n(3) All claims shall be made out acco rding to law and filed with the secretary of the\nboard and shall be approved and paid as other claims against the board.\n(4) Board members shall be eligible to participate in any group medical or dental\ninsurance plan provided to employees of the district pursuant to KRS 161.158.\nParticipating board members shall pay the full cost of any premium required for\ntheir participation in the plan.","path":["KRS Chapter 160"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=49406","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:08Z","sha256":"4c83f96740492286b8b17d2a33d05641f45afb7303a70949e76c2e88353c2f5a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-160.270","next":"us-ky/krs-160.290"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
