{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-160.305","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 160.305","heading":"Contracts for use of school buses to transport persons eligible for","body":"transportation services.\n(1) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services may enter into a contract with the local\nboard of education of any school district in the Commonwealth for the use of school\nbuses to transport persons eligible for transportation services at times when the\nbuses are not needed to transport students to or from school or school events.\nPersons eligible for these transportation services shall be:\n(a) Sixty-two (62) years of age or older;\n(b) Those with physical or mental disabilities; or\n(c) Any other person designated by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services as\nappropriate for these transportation services.\n(2) Before this contract is entered into, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall\nformulate a plan for the use of school buses for these purposes and shall submit it to\nthe local board of education for its approval or disapproval.
