{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-160.463","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 160.463","heading":"School district financial disclosure website -- Publication of financial","body":"statement and school report card.\n(1) The local board of education of each school district shall direct its superintendent to\npublish on the school district's main websi te a link to a district financial disclosure\nwebsite that contains:\n(a) The following financial reports to be published monthly for the previous\nmonth:\n1. The accounts payable invoice vendor report;\n2. The accounts payable check reconciliation report;\n3. The balance sheet;\n4. The vendor payment report from the start of the fiscal year to the date of\nthe report;\n5. The monthly financial report required under KRS 160.431; and\n6. If the school district's budget reserve is below four percent (4%) of the\ntotal budget:\na. A summary of any purchases made through a district procurement\ncard; and\nb. Credit card statements;\n(b) The following:\n1. The employment contract of the superintendent, including any\nappendices;\n2. Within five (5) days of approval by the local board of education, any\namendments to the contract of the superintendent;\n3. A link to the Kentucky Department of Education's website on school\ndistrict personnel information, including superintendent compensation;\nand\n4. Upon separation of the superintendent:\na. The gross salary paid to the superintendent during the\nsuperintendent's final fiscal year;\nb. The total sick leave days accumu lated by the superintendent\nimmediately prior to separation and the amount paid to the\nsuperintendent for the accumulated sick leave days upon\nseparation; and\nc. The total annual and personal days accumulated by the\nsuperintendent immediately prior to sepa ration and the amount\npaid to the superintendent for the accumulated annual and personal\nleave days upon separation;\n(c) The following annual reports:\n1. By January 1 of each year, a report detailing any other compensation\nprovided to the superintendent du ring the past year beyond what is\nreported under paragraph (b) of this subsection;\n2. Upon receipt by the district under KRS 156.275, the district's\nindependent financial audit report; and\n3. Upon adoption under KRS 160.461, the district's working budget; and\n(d) The reports required under KRS 160.431.\n(2) (a) The local board of education of each school district shall direct its\nsuperintendent to publish the complete annual financial statement and the\nschool report card annually:\n1. In the newspaper of the largest general circulation in the county;\n2. Electronically on a website of the school district; or\n3. By printed copy at a prearranged site at the main branch of the public\nlibrary within the school district.\n(b) If publication on a website of the school  district or by printed copy at the\npublic library is chosen, the superintendent shall be directed to publish\nnotification in the newspaper of the largest circulation in the county as to the\nlocation where the document can be viewed by the public.\n(c) The notification shall include the address of the library or the electronic\naddress of the website where the documents can be viewed.\n(d) Each system's financial statements shall be prepared and presented on a basis\nconsistent with that of the other systems.","path":["KRS Chapter 160"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57649","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:08Z","sha256":"da2461f582a20c4983142379aaaceda1276d5c6c718f08697a33e1024495592f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-160.462","next":"us-ky/krs-160.464"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
