{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.0284","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.0284","heading":"Annual compilation of data concerning in-demand  jobs, college","body":"costs, student loan debt, graduation rates, and student and graduate\nemployment  -- Administrative regulations.\n(1) In order to help prospective students make  more informed decisions about\ntheir futures and ensure that they are adequately aware of the cost of college\nand other career paths, the Council on Postsecondary Education shall compile\non an annual basis the following information:\n(a) The  most in-demand jobs in the state along with the starting salary, the\nmedian salary, and the typical education level for those jobs;\n(b) For  the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, each\ncomprehensive  university, and  each  college within the Kentucky\nCommunity  and Technical College System:\n1. The average cost;\n2. The average three (3) year student loan default rate;\n3. The average student loan debt for students who have attended the\ninstitution;\n4. The percentage of students taking out student loans;\n5. The average graduation rate and average time to completion;\n6. The number of students completing high school credential programs\nand career and technical education programs, and, as available, the\nnumber  of students completing apprenticeship programs; and\n7. The median and range of starting salaries for graduates; and\n(c) For each college within the Kentucky Community and Technical College\nSystem, the percentage of students employed by program area and, as\ndata becomes  available, the rate of students gainfully employed in the\nrecognized occupation for which the student was trained or in a related\ncomparable recognized occupation.\n(2) The Council on Postsecondary Education shall maintain and ensure access to\nthe information by prospective students in the state. The council shall work with\nthe Kentucky Center for Statistics, the Kentucky Department of Education, the\nEducation and Labor Cabinet, and the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance\nAuthority and other stakeholders the council determines necessary to develop\na delivery method to carry out the objectives of this section.\n(3) The council may promulgate administrative regulations necessary to carry out\nthis section and may  require and compile information for specific programs\nwithin the postsecondary institutions identified in subsection (1)(b) of this\nsection.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52392","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:14Z","sha256":"1b1ef40e87876eba40e960a4df3c81378feda114b61e1cf28ff7fe4f3efe74eb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.0283","next":"us-ky/krs-164.0285"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
