{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.2845","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.2845","heading":"Tuition-free courses for supervising teachers and resource teachers.","body":"(1) In recognition of valuable service to the preparation of teachers and the need for all\nteachers to have continual professional growth, a supervising teacher or a resource\nteacher for teacher interns may, with prior approval of the course -offering\ninstitution, take a maximum of six (6) credit hours per term at any public\npostsecondary institution and pay no tuition. The postsecondary institution shall\nwaive the tuition up to a maximum of six (6) credit hours.\n(2) The teachers covered in this section may exercise the tuition-free course option only\nif there is available space within a given course offering. A postsecondary\ninstitution shall not be required to establish a course to meet teacher requests.\n(3) The tuition -free courses may be used to partially sat isfy requirements for an\nadvanced degree.\n(4) Each public postsecondary education institution shall establish the procedures for\nimplementing the provisions of this section, effective August 1, 2000.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4236","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:15Z","sha256":"3c4f7d7880dc2864cd49faa19eaf84c7a594d3b02795cc8c700e8f2c125aa3e3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.2844","next":"us-ky/krs-164.2846"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
