{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.302","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.302","heading":"Core academic content standards for reading and mathematics for","body":"introductory college courses.\n(1) Within thirty (30) days from March 25, 2009, each postsecondary education\ninstitution shall plan and implement a process to develop core academic content\nstandards for reading and mathematics for introductory courses in the public\npostsecondary education institutions.\n(2) The process shall ensure that secondary educators are engaged with the\npostsecondary education faculty and other content specialists in order that the\nstandards at each educational level are vertically aligned.\n(3) The Council on Postsecondary Education, the Department of Education, and the\npostsecondary education institutions are urged to merge activities, resources, and\ndissemination efforts as is practical to eliminate duplication of effort and conflicting\nrecommendations.\n(4) All core academic standards for mathematics and reading in introductory courses\nshall be completed by December 15, 2010, with a target completion date of\nDecember 15, 2009, for the mathematics standards.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4258","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:15Z","sha256":"77f5119f6ca9946fecaf074f4a2d39cab08bb3c9565a712cc754e3a3a284b86e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.300","next":"us-ky/krs-164.304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
