{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.512","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.512","heading":"Tuition waiver for disabled child of veteran.","body":"(1) The  child of a veteran, regardless of age, who has acquired a disability as a\ndirect result of the veteran's service shall be eligible to receive a waiver of\ntuition upon admission to any state-supported university, college, or vocational\ntraining institute.\n(2) To be entitled to benefits under this section, the child claiming benefits must\nhave  acquired a disability determined by the United States Department of\nVeterans Affairs as compensable.\n(3) The  parent-child relationship must be shown  by birth certificate, marriage\ncertificate, or other documentary evidence.\n(4) To  entitle a child to benefit under this section the member  of the National\nGuard or Reserve Component veteran living or deceased must have served on\nstate active duty, active duty for training, or inactive duty training or the veteran\nmust have served on active duty with the Armed Forces of the United States,\nand  the discharge must have been under honorable conditions.
