{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.6029","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.6029","heading":"Kentucky Rural Innovation Program -- Purposes.","body":"(1) There is created and established in the Council on Postsecondary Education a\nKentucky Rural Innovation Program to provide awards to rural Kentucky -based,\nsmall companies to undertake research, development, and entrepreneurial\ninnovation work in partnership with Kentucky postsecondary institutions, the Small\nBusiness Development Center Network in Kentucky, and other entities engaged in\nresearch and development work.\n(2) The purpose of the Kentucky Rural Innovation Program is to:\n(a) Accelerate knowledge tran sfer and technological innovation that improve\neconomic competitiveness and spur economic growth in rural, Kentucky -\nbased, small companies;\n(b) Support entrepreneurial activities that have clear potential to lead to\ncommercially successful products, proces ses, or services within a reasonable\nperiod of time;\n(c) Stimulate growth-oriented enterprises within the Commonwealth;\n(d) Encourage partnerships and collaborative projects between private enterprises,\nKentucky's postsecondary institutions, research organ izations, and the Small\nBusiness Development Center Network in Kentucky; and\n(e) Promote research, development, and entrepreneurial activities that are driven\nby private sector requirements.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4355","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:16Z","sha256":"5f559c4f5e5ecc7092b486b5c3ee6c0f911060c682c433806286fa43151125b9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.6027","next":"us-ky/krs-164.6031"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
