{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.7882","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.7882","heading":"Kentucky educational excellence scholarship moneys to be awarded to","body":"students enrolled in comprehensive transition and postsecondary program --\nAmounts -- Terms -- Administrative regulations.\n(1) Notwithstanding any other statute to the c ontrary, a student shall be eligible for a\nKentucky educational excellence scholarship who:\n(a) 1. Received an alternate high school diploma described in KRS\n158.140(2)(b) after June 30, 2012;\n2. Received a modified high school diploma under KRS 156.160(1)(e); or\n3. Attended a Kentucky public high school after June 30, 2008, and is a\nstudent with an intellectual disability as defined in 34 C.F.R. sec.\n668.231; and\n(b) Enrolls in a comprehensive transition and postsecondary program at a\nparticipating institution located in Kentucky.\n(2) A student enrolled in credit -bearing or non -credit-bearing courses as part of a\ncomprehensive transition and postsecondary program prior to the 2016 -2017\nacademic year shall receive:\n(a) Two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for en rollment in at least six (6) hours in an\nacademic term; and\n(b) One hundred twenty -five dollars ($125) for enrollment in less than six (6)\nhours in an academic term.\n(3) A student enrolled in credit -bearing or non -credit-bearing courses as part of a\ncomprehensive transition and postsecondary program beginning with the 2016-2017\nacademic year shall receive:\n(a) Five hundred dollars ($500) for enrollment in at least six (6) hours in an\nacademic term; and\n(b) Two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for enrollment in less than six (6) hours in\nan academic term.\n(4) A student shall  be eligible for a scholarship under this section for a maximum of\neight (8) academic terms.\n(5) The authority shall promulgate administrative regulations establishing the\nprocedures for making awards under this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57193","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:17Z","sha256":"749c260b4a81379d9938c0bf1440b1b0f440612b5ef56a78f53c164539d404b3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.7881","next":"us-ky/krs-164.7883"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
