{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164.7911","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164.7911","heading":"Strategic Investment and Incentive Funding Program -- Trust funds --","body":"Interest -- Appropriations.\n(1) There is established and created in the Council on Postsecondary Education a\nStrategic Investment and Incentive Funding Program for postseco ndary education\nto consist of a system of strategic financial assistance awards to institutions,\nsystems, agencies, and programs of postsecondary education to advance the goals\nof postsecondary education in the Commonwealth. There are established in the\nState Treasury the following individual strategic investment and incentive trust\nfunds:\n(a) A research challenge trust fund;\n(b) A comprehensive university excellence trust fund;\n(c) A technology initiative trust fund;\n(d) A physical facilities trust fund;\n(e) A postsecondary workforce development trust fund; and\n(f) A student financial aid and advancement trust fund.\n(2) The funding program and the individual trust funds are created to provide financial\nassistance to the institutions, systems, agencies, and programs of postsecondary\neducation each fiscal biennium. It is the intent of the General Assembly to make\nappropriations, including general fund appropriations, each fiscal biennium to each\nof the individual trust funds in the funding program in a form and manner consistent\nwith the strategic agenda adopted by the Council on Postsecondary Education.\nAppropriations made to individual trust funds in the Strategic Investment and\nIncentive Funding Program shall not lapse at the end of a fiscal year but shall b e\ncarried forward in the respective trust fund accounts and shall be available for\nallotment for their respective purposes in the next fiscal year.","path":["KRS Chapter 164"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58005","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:18Z","sha256":"562b0f7aef561ee565ced85485e229b3a41e57e0bdc03383de001b0ecddebe92","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164.7901","next":"us-ky/krs-164.7913"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
