{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164a.550","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164A.550","heading":"Definitions for KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630.","body":"As used in KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Governing board\" means the board of trustees or board of regents constituting the\ncorporate bodies established by KRS 164.160 and 164.310 for the purpose of\ngoverning universities and colleges and technical institutions.\n(2) \"Institutions\" means all public supported postsecondary educational institutions in\nKentucky recognized in KRS 164.100, 164.290, 164.580, or 164.810(1)(a).\n(3) \"Affiliated corporation\" means a corporate enti ty which is not a public agency and\nwhich is organized pursuant to the provisions of KRS Chapter 273 over which an\ninstitution exercises effective control, by means of appointments to its board of\ndirectors, and which could not exist or effectively operate  in the absence of\nsubstantial assistance from an institution.\n(4) \"Depository bank\" means any bank so designated by the Treasurer of the\nCommonwealth as appropriate for receiving public moneys.","path":["KRS Chapter 164A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4574","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:19Z","sha256":"5a0ad096950a8ec0bbbd1a905bd0f25ca79c1a49aab68fab79174e0f2e82e305","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164a.380","next":"us-ky/krs-164a.555"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
