{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-164a.630","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 164A.630","heading":"Statutes binding the board.","body":"(1) In carrying out the provisions of KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 the governing boards\nshall be bound by the following statutes:\n(a) KRS 56.610 to 56.820 regarding relocation assistance and lease of property\nfor state use, and 56.870 to 56.874 regarding legislati ve approval of state\nfiscal obligations.\n(b) The Kentucky Model Procurement Code as set forth in KRS Chapter 45A.\n(c) KRS Chapter 56 as it relates to the approval of revenue bond issues by the\nState Property and Buildings Commission, and the issuance of re venue bonds\nand bond anticipation notes.\n(d) KRS 45.550 to 45.640 regarding equal employment opportunity.\n(2) Any other provisions of KRS Chapters 41, 42, 45, 56, 57 to the contrary\nnotwithstanding, KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 shall govern the financial\nmanagement of higher education with the exception of KRS 45.990 and 45A.990\nhaving to do with penalties which shall be applicable to violations of KRS\n164A.555 to 164A.630.\n(3) Any officer, agent or employee of any institution who willfully fails or refuses to\ncomply with any other provisions of KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 is subject to\nindictment in the appropriate Circuit Court and upon conviction shall be fined not\nless than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1000) for each\noffense.","path":["KRS Chapter 164A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4591","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:19Z","sha256":"a65bbaf32ffaa631440112cd9b9db760b7b87146b89b07d4b82a2bb080b2c63f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-164a.625","next":"us-ky/krs-164a.700"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
