{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-165a.460","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 165A.460","heading":"Proprietary schools that offer CDL  training governed  by this","body":"chapter -- Exceptions.\n(1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, all proprietary schools\nlocated or doing business in this state that offer CDL  driver training shall be\ngoverned by the provisions of this chapter, except for matters governing:\n(a) The  curriculum, which shall be  established by the commission  in\nconsultation with the Department of Kentucky State Police and the\nKentucky Community and Technical College System; and\n(b) The  inspection of CDL  driver training school facilities, which shall be\nunder the authority of the Department of Kentucky State Police pursuant\nto KRS 165A.475 and 332.095.\n(2) Entry level driver training providers are exempt from the provisions of this\nchapter and shall instead comply with the requirements set forth in 49 C.F.R.\nsecs. 380.600 to 380.609 and 380.700 to 380.725.","path":["KRS Chapter 165A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52160","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:20Z","sha256":"addb3226354ae4efe1b7b4459a3bc7188e30ea8dd8c6a2c3cf282d3b202039a3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-165a.450","next":"us-ky/krs-165a.465"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
