{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-165a.990","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 165A.990","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(1) Any person, company, firm, corporation, association, society, or partnership, or any\nofficer or employee thereof, who shall violate the provisions of KRS 165A.310 to\n165A.410 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished\nby a fin e not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100), or by imprisonment in the\ncounty jail not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.\nEach day's failure to comply with the provisions of KRS 165A.310 to 165A.410\nshall be a separate violation.\n(2) No note, negotiable instrument, or contract relating to payment for a course or\ncourses of instruction shall be enforceable by any proprietary school in the courts of\nthis state, unless said proprietary school and its agents shall have complied wi th the\nprovisions of KRS 165A.310 to 165A.410.","path":["KRS Chapter 165A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4671","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:20Z","sha256":"b9375dfd47c84720f7c550a719df21cffcb466f917f192f727183e2a4bd9b969","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-165a.515","next":"us-ky/krs-165a.992"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
