{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-17.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 17.560","heading":"Hearing -- Order -- Appeal.","body":"(1) Prior to the refusal to issue, renew, probate, suspend, or revoke the approval of a\nprovider, the board shall conduct a hearing in accordance with the provisions of this\nchapter and KRS Chapter 13B.\n(a) The hearing may be conducted by a hearing officer;\n(b) The hearing officer may only issue a recommended order, and the\nrecommended order shall be subject to review by a majority of the full board,\nwhich shall issue a final order.\n(2) The board may proceed against an approved provider on its own initiative, o n the\nbasis of either information contained in its own records, or information obtained\nthrough its informal investigation.\n(3) If a formal complaint verified by affidavit is filed with the board by a responsible\ncitizen or organization containing allegati ons that if true would warrant action, the\nboard may proceed against the approved provider.\n(4) Any final order of the board may be appealed to the Franklin Circuit Court in\naccordance with KRS Chapter 13B.","path":["KRS Chapter 17"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1265","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:38Z","sha256":"d0e7294bd7df929fb36a997accfa06624e28e3858f484f75dea292a8ac82b315","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-17.558","next":"us-ky/krs-17.562"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
