The fund shall consist\nof moneys collected from the income t ax checkoff created under KRS 141.441 and\nany other proceeds from grants, contributions, appropriations, or other moneys\nmade available for the purposes of the trust fund.\n(2) Trust fund amounts not expended at the close of a fiscal year shall not lapse bu t\nshall be carried forward to the next fiscal year.\n(3) Any interest earnings of the trust fund shall become a part of the trust fund and shall\nnot lapse.\n(4) Trust fund moneys shall be used to support local history through grants made to\nlocal history organizations in Kentucky. Funds shall be administered and distributed\nby the Kentucky Historical Society for the purposes directed in this section.\n(5) Moneys transferred to the trust fund pursuant to KRS 141.441 are hereby\nappropriated for the purposes set forth in this section.\n(6) The Kentucky Historical Society shall develop standards for qualifying applicants,\nand for applying and approving grants from the trust fund, and may promulgate\nadministrative regulations as needed to implement this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 171"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43407","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:22Z","sha256":"9c88c44ca5d615c36ef5c6f3947824b79d2fcf3c35d7f34e36752e5957b81567","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-171.321","next":"us-ky/krs-171.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
